GYRF-001

This female gyrfalcon is a rare white morph found outside Teller, Alaska. Although gyrfalcons are seen as both dark and white morphs, white morphs are uncommon. Gyrfalcons are the speed champions of the bird world, faster in level flight than any other species. Fast as they are, they cannot outrun the changes brought by an exponentially warming climate across the North.
